Upsolve asks about contracts and leases you may have because this is reported on your bankruptcy paperwork (Schedule G). These are formally called "executory contracts."
The most common contracts Upsolvers generally list include:
- Rental or lease agreements
- Rent-to-own contracts for furniture, household appliances, or electronics
- Vehicle lease agreements
- Cell phone contracts
- Utility contracts, including internet and telephone service
- Gym memberships
Once you list the contract or lease on your Upsolve account, you'll be able to say whether you want to keep it or not. Keeping a lease/contract is called "assuming." If you want to get out of the lease or contract, you can "reject" it.
