A chapter 7 bankruptcy cannot discharge or wipe out fines or penalties that are owed to the government. So filing bankruptcy under either chapter will not get rid of a fine imposed in a DUI/DWI prosecution. That said, you are still eligible to file for bankruptcy if you have a DUI and many individuals with a DUI choose to file to manage other debts.
