If you have a judgment against you for the following reasons, you will not be able to erase your debt:
- Judgments you got for driving while intoxicated
- Child support or alimony
- Judgment you got from assaulting someone
- Judgement you got from committing fraud
- Money that you owe the government (but taxes over 3 years old often can be erased)
- Most student loans
Bankruptcy generally does erase judgments against people for credit card bills and medical bills. And if you have a judgment against you from a traffic accident, and you weren’t drinking during your accident, you can probably also erase this debt.
